This is a professional quality motion picture camera.  This camera is great for shooting commercials, music videos, and art films for Sundance and other film festivals, but where is really shines is for shooting extreme sports like snowboarding or mountain biking because of it's slow motion capabilities and it's self contained portability.

Bolex Professional Motion Picture Camera
This is the camera you take to climb Mt. Everest.  This thing is so tough that when you get there you can drop it and it passes the bounce test!  It is made of metal, not plastic, and it has the leather trim!  It has the Official Bolex Paillard Emblem.  Serial No. 215466.
If the Blair Witch Project was true this was the camera they would have had to use.  It has the Swiss clock precision hand wind mechanism so that you don't need a battery.  (The camera that they used in Blair Witch was a CP 16 which takes a bigger battery than my car!  There is no way anybody is going trekking through the forest with that monster.)
This is the camera the BBC used for making all of their infamous wildlife documentaries.  It is the camera that Kevin Bacon uses in the film The Big Picture to make the Pez People music video.  It has been used by many film makers from Spielberg and Lucas to Spike.
Close up of turret
This camera has the 3 lens turret which holds 3 prime lenses (not included.)  This makes it easy to change lenses without having to remove one and install another one.  It also has the lens plane so that you can measure focus (with a tape measure, not included.)
controls
Originally know as The Studio in a Camera!
It has settings and features for professional effects.
There is a footage and frame counter.
There is adjustable shutter speed.
It also has a lever to fade in and out so you can "edit in the camera."
It has rewind so you can do special effects like mattes and lap dissolves.
It has film speeds from 12fps up to 64fps for fast motion or great slow motion.
It also has single frame capability for animation.

This camera has a reflex optical system which means that you actually look through the lens to see while shooting.  It has the gate so that when not in use there is no light leakage.  The eye piece rubber is new.  The eye piece has adjustable focus which locks.

The film compartment is clean.  The parts are in good condition.

The Director's Sight is removable.  It attaches to the side of the camera so that the director or D.P. can check the framing and decide on the lens length from 10mm up to 150mm.  It has an adjustment so that it can line up precisely with the framing of the lens.  The sight has the Bolex Emblem.

I will also include all of the following items with this great camera to get you going.

Light holding bracket for a small spotlight.  (No lights are included.)

5 Filters Holders plus 1 gate (allows no light to pass) are in a clear plastic box which has the Bolex emblem.  3 of the 5 have unidentified filters.  1 filter has 85 written on it.  It is for exterior shots with the film below.  1 is empty.  Another empty filter holder is in the camera.  These filters insert behind the lens for quick changes.

3 rolls of 100' (30.5m) AGFA Negative XTR 250 Color Negative 16mm Film.  ISO 250/25 Tungsten 3200K, ISO 160/23 Daylight with filter 85.  16MMX30.5M S1-2 CSU30 EI S.P 30ELM  76241104 Emulsion.  Sealed packages, no idea of age, good for practice shots.

1 roll of Exposed Film so that you can practice loading.

Griswold Film Splicer Jr. model for 8 and 16MM.  Serial No. J-38430-A.  Exclusive Distributor Neumade Products Corp.  New York N.Y.  Manufactured by Griswold Machine Wks., PT Jefferson N.Y.  This thing is cast iron and weighs a lot.  It is in good shape.

HP Quick Splice Film Splicing Tape.  Sealed package.  No idea of age.

P. Angenieux 120mm Telephoto Zoom Lens.  Made in Paris France.  F.12-120mm.  1:2.2  Type 10x12 C.  No. 1134687.  Focal point marked in red for feet and white for meters.  Lens length marked in white for millimeters from 12 to 120mm.  Aperture marked in f stops 2.2 up to 22 in both red scale and white scale.  The lens has a crank for the zoom and is easily operated by 1st AC.

The Flight Case is solidly built to protect this expensive camera from even the roughest handling.  It has locking latches on the top which are missing the key.  It also has two other latches on the sides which have holes for pad locks.  The exterior is good condition, interior has some wear.  It has several compartments to store film and accessories.

The External Motor runs on 12 to 30 volts depending on frame speed.  18 and 24fps requires four 6 volt batteries.  (Batteries not included.)  Bolex emblem.  Made in Switzerland.  No. 17639.    Has sticker for repair work done at Graf's Camera Repair inc.  Beverly Blvd.  Los Angeles California.
Battery case has wire hookups inside for batteries.  Shoulder strap.  Only in fair condition.  (Batteries not included.)

Also included but not pictured is a brand new film Changing Bag.  It has been opened but never used.  It is still in the original plastic bag and has been stored inside a zip lock bag.

This camera is in very good condition and I regret having to sell it.  It has been cared for like a dear friend, however it is recommend that your technician check the lubrication on this and all motion picture cameras before you began any serious shooting.  It has not been used recently and has been safely stored in a dry location.

This camera is very sweet and comes with so many extras that you get everything you need to start making pictures!  It is owned by a television director so you know that it is very nice.
